Alpacas have arrived - 05/23/17

Our alpacas have arrived!

Alpacas are kept in herds that graze on the level heights of the Andes of southern Peru, western Bolivia, Ecuador and northern Chile at an altitude of 3,500m - 5,000m (11,500-16,00 feet) above sea level, bred specifically for their fiber. Alpaca fiber is used for making knitted and woven items. While similar to shep's wool it is warmer , not prickly and has no lanolin.

They are curious, gentle, peaceful animals that always welcome attention. They rae beautiful and calmimg to look at. They are the ultimate stress reliver. Our pilgrims just love to spend time with them.
